Refresher in Basic Statistics and Econometrics
Description:
This course is offered to all master students who want or need to refresh their basic skills in statistics and econometrics. The participation in this course is strongly recommended to all participants of the courses "Regression and Time Series Analysis" and "Microeconometrics", as it reviews important concepts from linear algebra (including matrix algebra) as well as the fundamental statistical and econometric concepts (descriptive statistics, estimation and inference, simple linear regression model) that are essential for the understanding of the more advanced methods covered in "Regression and Time Series Analysis" and "Microeconometrics". Moreover, refreshing and training these concepts is a useful preparation for other master courses.
